압박감이 있는 사회, 자유롭지 못한 틀, 정해져 있는 사회적 알람들.
그런 것들에 문제의식을 느끼던 시기에 뉴욕으로 여행을 갔어요.

사실 뉴욕은 고등학생 때부터 여러번 가봤고, 예전에도 센트럴파크에서 버스킹을 했었는데
그때는 기록을 남기지 않았어요.
이번엔 그 모습을 영상으로 담아서 릴스로 올렸는데, 반응이 꽤 좋았어요.

그냥 재밌어 보여서 한 거였는데 사람들이 그걸 보고 대리만족을 느끼는 것 같더라고요.
그게 이해됐어요.
저도 그때 압박과 불안 속에 있었고, 그와 반대로 자유로운 갈망의 마음을 있는 그대로 보여주고 싶었으니까요.

결국 제가 2024년 4월부터 릴스를 시작하고 지금까지 이어온 모든 활동은, 그 답답함과 불안을 품은 채로 시작된 거예요.

I was feeling pressure from society,
everything felt fixed and not free at all.
Around that time, I took a trip to New York.

I’ve been there a few times since high school,
and I even did busking at Central Park before,
but I didn’t record it back then.
This time I filmed it and posted it as a Reel,
and the response was really good.

​

I just did it because it looked fun,
but people seemed to feel a kind of satisfaction watching it.
And I could understand that.
I was also feeling pressure and anxiety at the time, and I wanted to show my pure longing for freedom,
The exact opposite of what I was feeling inside.

​

So when I started posting Reels in May 2024, everything I’ve done since then came from that same place, holding both frustration and longing together.
